The Empire Tavern is a modern East London pub diner in the heart of Hackney, set beside the Hackney Empire & Hackney Town Hall.

The space blends classic pub warmth with a nod to 70s style New York diner with a contemporary edge. Designed to host everything from casual get-togethers to full venue takeovers, Empire Tavern offers a range of flexible spaces perfect for any occasion.

Whether it’s laid-back drinks, birthday celebrations, wedding receptions or something more bespoke, our team can tailor food and drink packages to suit, including our award-winning burgers to more elevated menus.

We can cater for anything from canapés, sliders, full wedding menus & event menus. Stop by and have a chat with us to see what we can arrange for you!

OUR EVENT SPACES

• Capacity: 50 seated / 80 Standing

• Availability: Year-round

• Menus: Dining menu, Small plates, 3 Course, Banquet, Events menus, canapes, finger food

• T&C’s: No minimum spend, must order food, DJ’s welcome from 9:30pm

• Capacity: 60 seated / 150 standing

• Availability: Year-round, we try to avoid pre-theatre times

• Menus: Dining menu, Small plates, 3 Course, Banquet, Events menus, canapes, finger food

• T&C’s: No minimum spend, must order food.

FULL VENUE

• Capacity: Up to 300

• Availability: Year-round / Availablity can be affected by what's on at the Hackney Empire

• Menus: Dining menu, Small plates, 3 Course, Banquet, Events menus, canapes, finger food

• T&C’s: No minimum spend but require a 150 person minimum, food must be ordered. Can play your own music / bring your own DJ or one can be provided for you at a cost.
